Tell your legislators: no Trumped-up tax plan in Maine!

The Maine legislature will have to decide whether to adopt Trump’s tax plan in Maine – or not. Adopting Trump’s plan would mean giving the very richest handful of households in Maine a $22 million free-pass on their fair share of the estate tax; expanded loopholes for corporations that already manipulate the tax law to avoid paying taxes; and perverse incentives for investment in automation over workers.

And according to Maine Revenue Service analysis, Trump’s tax plan would increase taxes by an average of $323 per family. All this amounts to a continued redistribution of wealth from working and poor people to the top 1%.
