At MPA we believe that our power as an organization and a movement comes from having Mainers from all walks of life being able to take part in our political process. That includes being able to meet directly with our elected officials to build relationships, lobby them on important legislation, and hold them accountable. That’s why every week during the legislative session MPA members visit the State House to lobby their elected officials on important issues and legislation. Come as you are; no prior experience or expertise necessary. You will learn how bills become law, become familiar with MPA’s policy agenda, become comfortable having constructive and productive conversations with legislators, and join a community of folks working together for a common cause.
