Stop the New Market Tax Credit Giveaway

Wall Street scam artists have bilked the state of Maine for millions of dollars through the New Market tax credit program. In one scheme, investors in Cate Street walked away with $16 million in taxpayer funds while shuttering the paper mill in East Millinocket.

Now, Democrats in the legislature are attempting to halt the giveaway, invalidate the sham transactions and get Maine's money back.

Republicans, however, are standing in the way and have voted against tax credit reform. The full House and Senate will soon be considering this issue and they need to hear from you.
