Share your low-wage story

MPA is going to be working over the next year to raise the minimum wage in Maine, but right now we want to hear from Mainers who work hard for low wages or who have experienced economic difficulties in their lives.

What would a few more dollars an hour mean for you? Have you had health care expenses you couldn't afford? Have you ever worked a low-wage job while trying to support a family? Have you or a family member lost a job or a home or an opportunity? Do you work at a restaurant, working hard to make a livable wage off tips because your employer only pays you $3.75 an hour?
