MPA to Host Journalist and Author John Nichols in Bangor

The Nation’s political correspondent will discuss latest book on the influence of money in politics


Tomorrow, Friday, October 4th, noted journalist and author John Nichols will be in Bangor for an engaging talk around his latest book Dollarocracy: How the Money and Media Election Complex is Destroying America.
 
John Nichols is the Washington, DC correspondent for The Nation. A pioneering political blogger, his articles have appeared in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune and dozens of other newspapers. He is a frequent guest on radio and television programs as a commentator on politics and media issues. His latest book details how unbridled campaign spending is defining our politics and, without some intervention, could signal the end of our democracy.
 
This event is open to the public. Donations are welcome and will benefit MPA’s work to strengthen Maine’s clean elections system.
