MPA and Maine People’s Resource Center (MPRC) are currently accepting inquiries for a COVID Vaccination Outreach Program Manager. The Outreach Manager will be responsible for helping to design and oversee a new statewide program to educate Mainers about the COVID vaccines, and help vaccine-hesitant Mainers understand the benefits of vaccination. Among other responsibilities for statewide program design and grant reporting, the Outreach Manager will manage a team of 10-12 door-to-door canvass staff based in Androscoggin and Penobscot counties, who will have one-on-one conversations to provide information on COVID vaccines and help Mainers access vaccines in their communities. The position is temporary and will continue through the end of November 2021, with the opportunity for a longer timeframe contingent on grant funding.
A qualified applicant should possess:
• A strong commitment to MPA's mission of achieving social, economic, environmental and racial justice
• Strong communication skills
• Previous management or supervisory experience
• Ability to multi-task in a challenging fast-paced work environment
• Project management experience
• Previous canvass experience
Fluency in multiple languages also a plus.
This position is a full time temporary position, with potential for advancement. Salary range is $36,000 - $50,000, commensurate with experience.
