Resistance Rising: Progressive Leadership from the Grassroots Up

Now, more than ever, we need progressive leaders who will work to help everyday Mainers and fight back against the racist and xenophobic rhetoric and policies coming from Washington and Augusta. The races for Governor and Congress are wide open, and it's up to all of us to make sure that our next leaders have a truly progressive vision for Maine.

That’s why Wednesday, August 30th in Lewiston, we’re bringing together members of our progressive community—you!—and declared or prospective candidates for Governor and Congress. We want you to help drive important conversations early and often with those who have aspirations to lead our state.

Joining us for the evening will be both declared and prospective candidates for Governor, including Jim Boyle, Adam Cote, Mark Eves, Sen. Troy Jackson, Adam Lee, Attorney General Janet Mills, Diane Russell, and Betsy Sweet, and candidates for the Second Congressional District Jonathan Fulford and Tim Rich (and likely a few others).

At the event, you’ll have the opportunity to talk face-to-face with these leaders about the issues confronting Mainers and hear about their vision for making our state a better place. Perhaps most importantly, the event is designed to be sure these candidates hear from you about what issues are most important to progressives in the 2018 election.

The event is free and open to all.
